The below figure presents point in time registration statistics, at end of year, for Student Specific Accommodation (SSA) for 2019 and 2021. The Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2019 was introduced on 4 June 2019, it brought all Student Specific Accommodation under the RTB’s remit for the first time. For the 2019/2020 academic year, there was a three month transition period to register Student Specific Accommodation tenancies which commenced on or after 15 August 2019.
