The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) today confirms the appointment of Rosemary Steen as the new Director of the organisation.

Ms. Steen will begin her new role on 2 September 2024 and joins the RTB after serving as Chief Executive Officer at Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI).

Before joining DCCI Ms Steen was on the leadership team of EirGrid as an Executive Director for 6 years where she was responsible within the business for regulation, customers and public affairs. She has had a wide range of business experience including working with global companies such as Vodafone and Shell. She also worked for the employers group IBEC, and in that role served on the National Economic and Social Council. 

Chairperson of the Residential Tenancies Board, Tom Dunne said: “I am delighted to welcome Rosemary Steen to our organisation. This is an important appointment and her leadership experience will play a vitally important role in charting the future of the RTB as we continue to expand services, research and regulatory functions.”

Ms Steen is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin with a degree in Economics and Philosophy and holds a Masters in Business from University College Dublin. She holds both a Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors and a Diploma in Legal Studies.
