The Residential Tenancies (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2026 was enacted today following the signing of the Bill into law by the President. The provisions in the act will now come into effect from 1st March 2026.

The Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) has published an updated information page on what the changes to rental law will mean for tenants and landlords from 1st March 2026. The RTB will now begin to roll out a national public information campaign on the changes over the coming days and weeks.

The RTB has also published a schedule of educational webinars on the changes to rental law which will run from Thursday 26th February to Friday 13th March. The webinars are open to the public for registration on the RTB’s events webpage.
