Common disputes
The most common disputes brought to the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) are validity of a notice of termination, unlawful termination of a tenancy, rent arrears, deposit retention and rent arrears with overholding.
Other disputes we deal with include, anti-social behaviour, breach of fixed term lease, breach of landlord or tenant obligations, damage in excess of normal tear and wear, rent more than market rate, rent review not in line with Rent Pressure Zone rules and standard and maintenance of property.

Enforcement of Determination Orders
Enforcement is a key function of the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB). When landlords, tenants, or third parties use the RTB's dispute resolution services, the final outcome is legally binding. This outcome is called a Determination Order.
